Judith M. Catherall

Judith M. Catherall, 83, of Gurnee, and a longtime resident of Libertyville, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, to Gerald and Mertie Beauregard, Judy dedicated her life to the service of others as a Registered Nurse. She began her career in the Intensive Care Unit, providing critical care to those in need. After taking time to raise her children, a role she cherished, she returned to nursing, offering compassionate care to the elderly.
A woman of immense heart and genuine warmth, Judy had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone she met, making them feel truly special. Her patience and selflessness were defining characteristics. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville.
Judy had a passion for travel, exploring destinations from Florida to Europe. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, which could brighten any room. Her greatest joy was her family, and she adored playing cards and games with her grandchildren, making each one feel uniquely loved.
Judy brought a radiant light into the world and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years Roland; her children Kristen (Mike) Nicklawske, Michael (Colleen) Catherall, Mark (Erin) Catherall, and Susan (Michael) Deney; her grandchildren Jim, Julia, and David Nicklawske, Nick and Zach Catherall, Jack, Michael and Catherine Catherall, and Drew, Cara, Ryan and Ally Deney; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Janice Beauregard.
Visitation for Judy will be held from 5:00 – 7:30 PM on Thursday June 19that McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday June 20th at St. Joseph Church, 121 E Maple Ave., Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Bernie's Book Bank https://www.berniesbookbank.org/ or Lamb's Farm https://lambsfarm.org/ would be greatly appreciated. Funeral info (847) 362-2626.
