Judith Marlene Combs, 61, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. Marlene was born on May 11, 1963, in Chattanooga, TN to Viola and Richard "Peanut" Humphreys.
Marlene was an adoring mother and grandmother that was known for having a warm and kind soul, infectious laugh, and never meeting a stranger. Throughout her life, she held many jobs, but she was most proud of her years of work with Jelly Bean Bunny Rescue where she brought so much joy to herself and the animals she cared for.
She is survived in death by her husband, James Combs; her children, Patrick Garces (Megan) and Aimee Kling (Alex); grandchildren, Ethan Hart-Garces, Joel Garces, Phoenix Garces, Lillian Kelley, and Maya Roberson; siblings Vicki Rosen-Deleonardo and Richard Humphreys, Jr. (Lori); Stepmother, Thelma Humphreys; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Viola Chauncey and Richard Humphreys, Sr.
Due to the suddenness of her passing, there will not be a service. Her family will honor her privately with a celebration of life.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
