Clifford Herbert Ledbetter

We would like to announce the passing of Clifford Herbie Ledbetter at the age of 76 years old. He crossed peacefully surrounded by his family at home.

Herbie (aka) Marcell was born in Knoxville, Tennessee to Clifford Phillip Ledbetter and Frances Jeanette Payne.

Herbie grew up in Tennessee, Southern California, and Alabama and most adult years spent right here in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee.

He will be missed and remembered by everyone that ever looked into his crystal blue eyes followed by an energy of pure love that you could not deny or want to receive. He was a husband, father, mentor, friend, and rock for the tribe he built. He worked for the Local 917 operating engineers at the Sequoyah Nuclear plant, Watts Bar, and Scottsdale.

Herbie loved to work on old cars, go fishing, camping, and drawing pictures, collecting coins, and telling exaggerated stories. He loved everyone and would give you the shirt off his back.

Herbie is preceded in death by his father Clifford P Ledbetter mother, Frances Jeanette Payne; his brother Larry Allen Ledbetter; sisters, Phyllis Jeanette Dodson, Darlene & Marlene Strickland; and brother, Jerry Mac Ledbetter; and granddaughter Hayley Ledbetter.

Herbie is survived by: his wonderful, amazing wife of 43 years Anna Louise Ledbetter; sons, Clifford Eugene Ledbetter, Jason David Ledbetter, Gordon Wayne Ledbetter (Mary); daughter, Heather Nicole Ledbetter; grandchildren, Robert Ledbetter (Ashley), Mikayla Bearden (Tanner), Haila Ledbetter (Jullian), Jordan Mac Ledbetter, Abigail Nicoe Bearden (Nathan), Leigha Davis, Michael Dolittle, Jace Bearden, Dianna Claire Ledbetter, Frances Paige Ledbetter; great grandchildren: Damien Sorero Ledbetter, Harlyn Rae Ledbetter, Waylon Phoenix Causey, Brooklee Nicole McCoin.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the caregivers, friends, and family, church, and preacher that helped Herbie transition to the Holy Land next to our Lord and his family that preceded him.

Though Clifford Herbie Ledbetter may be gone from our sights, he will forever be in our hearts.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, followed by the Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Doug Plumlee officiating.
