Judith Danowski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Inc. - Wesleyville on May 30, 2025.
Judith Catherine Danowski, beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at The Village at Rockville Nursing Home in Rockville, MD, on the morning of Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was the daughter of John and Catherine Haupt, both of Erie, PA, who preceded her in death.
Judy was born on May 13, 1942, in Erie and was a proud graduate of Hamot Nursing School, class of 1963, and Academy High School, class of 1960. She is survived by her eldest son, Dean Danowski of Washington, DC; a grandchild, Jonah Jordan of Franklin, TN; and many friends in Pennsylvania and Texas. Sadly, she will miss being a great-grandmother to a child who will be born in July. However, she will join several family members in heaven, including her beloved husband, Bill Danowski; her two youngest sons, Shawn and Jamie; and her brother, John Haupt; along with her parents.
Judy spent over 40 years as a Registered Nurse, initially working for Hamot Hospital after nursing school and then six years at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard, PA. She moved to Greenville, Texas, in August 1988. Judy enjoyed making new friends in Greenville, hosting parties, reading mystery stories, watching movies, and traveling to visit family and friends.
Family and friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday, June 3rd, from 5 to 7 pm. A private interment and service will take place at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
