Judith Marie Fuchs was born August 1,1966 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, daughter of John and Jean (Higgins) Fuchs. Judi was made a child of God through baptism at Concordia Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Maryland on August 28, 1966, and she confessed her faith in Christ publicly at her confirmation in the faith on April 15, 1979 at Zion Lutheran Church, Carpenter, Illinois. Judi entered her eternal home with her Savior on December 16, 2024.
In more than 35 years of faithful service to the Lord in the ministry of Lutheran education, Judi earned advanced degrees in Math and School Counseling. Judi served at Martin Luther High School (Maspeth, New York), Lutheran High School of San Antonio (San Antonio, Texas), Saxony Lutheran High School (Jackson, Missouri), and Sheboygan Lutheran High School (Sheboygan, Wisconsin).
Judi is survived by her parents, John and Jean Fuchs of Plainview, Minnesota, her brothers, James Fuchs (spouse Shirley) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and John M. Fuchs, her sister-in-law, Sherri Fuchs, and her nephews John, Michael (children Sofia and Alaina), Elijah, and Samuel Fuchs, all of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, as well as other family and many friends and colleagues.
In lieu of flowers, Judi requests continued support for Lutheran education; memorials may be given to any of the schools in which she served.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Visitation will begin at 10am, with a service to follow at 11am, the Rev. John Schultz officiating. Judi will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
