Judith Christine Gassert, age 73, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Aperion Care Hanover. Born January 10, 1951 in Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Earl and Louise (Bartlett) Tilley.
Mrs. Gassert was a 1969 graduate of Trimble County High School in Bedford, Kentucky. She previously worked as a retail clerk for Sears, Walmart and J.C. Penney stores in Madison, Indiana, and farmed.
She was a member of Mt. Byrd Christian Church, Milton, Kentucky, and enjoyed cooking, going to Gulf Shores, Alabama, University of Kentucky Basketball, and sewing, having made her children their clothing while growing up.
Her surviving family includes one daughter, Dana Liter and her companion, Tracy Childs of Milton; one son and daughter-in-law, Daron and Amanda Gross of Milton; her son-in-law, Dewayne Jamerson of Milton; two brothers: Terry Tilley of Bedford and her twin, Rudy Tilley and his wife, Kathy of Petersburg, Indiana; three sisters: Connie Howard and her husband, Reed of Seymour, Indiana, Candus Smith and her husband Bob of Bedford, and Karen Tilley of Eminence, Kentucky; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Deanne Jamerson on August 16, 2023; and two brothers: Wayne and Richard Tilley.
Aaron Snelling will conduct the funeral services.
