Verdie Gassert Obituary
She was the wife of Gilbert J. Gassert. who died October 9, 1993.
Born in Tulpehocken Twp., PA on June 5, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Monroe and Mary (Smith) Shaak.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time outside.
Verdie is survived by a daughter, Debra Gassert, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Eric, husband of Amber Gassert, of Lebanon; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Gassert; a son, Alan Gassert; a sister, Helen Eisenhower; and brothers, Lester, Norman, and Luther Shaak.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Salem Reformed Cemetery Bethel, PA.

My Aunt Verdie was the sweetest. She was so kind and welcoming with her warm disposition. And she always had a beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed as she was greatly loved.
My love and sympathy goes out to my cousin Debra and to Debra´s family.
