Judith "Judy" A. Greco, 76, of Granite City, IL, died at 7:14 p.m. Wed. Nov. 19, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family while under hospice care.

She was born Nov. 22, 1948 in Granite City to the late Peggy (Parker) Gieselman and Robert Brazel.

On Sept. 20, 1969, she and Sam Anthony Greco were married in Granite City. He survives.

Judy received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education from SIU-E and retired in 2010 from teaching 3rd and 5th grades at Wilson Elementary. Family was everything to Judy and her love for them brought her joy.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Carl Benson) Davis of Granite City, a grandson, Tristan Davis, her step-father, James Gieselman of Troy, IL, 2 sisters, Linda Wade and Annette Keith, both of FL, 2 brothers, Frank and Willie Finazzo, both of Granite City, step-sister, Terri Jo Cook, and step-brother, Larry Gieselman.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Paul Greco, 2 brothers, Ed and Fred Finazzo, step-brother, Daryl Gieselman, and her first husband, Michael Poynor.

Services are pending at Jefferson Barracks with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
