Judith S. Harmon

Rockwood - Judith S. Harmon, 77, passed away Saturday December 28, 2024 at her home in Rockwood, Maine. She had battled cancer for 8+ years.
Judy was born on April 10, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of Harold and Amelia (Zigmund) Stamm. In addition to her family, Judy had many passions in life, one being horseback riding. She began this lifelong activity as a little girl in upstate New York where she would sneak out of her parents' house to go riding in the early morning hours.
Another of Judy's passions were manatees. She volunteered at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in Homosassa, Florida, where she fed and bathed the endangered animals. Judy was very active in manatee protection groups as well, and worked with these groups for many years to protect her beloved manatees.
Judy is survived by her husband, Edward Payson Harmon of Rockwood, ME; her two sons, Matthew Harmon of Shirley, ME, and Mark Harmon of Rockwood, ME; daughter, Traci Harmon of South Berwick, ME; three granddaughters; and two great grandchildren.
