Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Irish, Jr. and Alice Sunderland Irish. She was educated in Schenectady schools and graduated from Draper High School.
Judie recently returned to this area, but she had resided in Florida for over 30 years where she enjoyed her retirement and of course spending time with her dogs, "Bonnie" and "Clyde." She also was a former member of the Red Hat Society in Florida.
Judie was the loving mother of Sheri Fournier (Derek) of Schenectady and Darren Fitzgerald (Mairead) of Jericho, VT; the grandmother of Ryan Fitzgerald (Florie), Erika Maura (Brett), Lindsay Fournier, Taylor Fournier and Riley Fitzgerald; and the great grandmother of Evan Maura and Atreyu Fitzgerald. She is also survived by her cousin, Leland Irish.
A graveside committal service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1 p.m. in Parkview Cemetery, 40 Fehr Ave, Schenectady, NY 12309. Those wishing to attend should gather at the cemetery entrance at 12:45 p.m.
