Judy was born on August 5, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert Edward Crouch and June Virginia Pearson Crouch. She spent the first 20 years of her life in Salt Lake. She graduated from Granite High School in Salt Lake in May 1958. Shortly after graduating she met her husband to be at the neighborhood grocery store where he worked. She said that when she was in the 2nd grade and he was in 6th he was the crossing guard that helped her across the street on her way to school at this same corner. She married Donald L. Jester Feb 14, 1959, in Salt Lake at the home of the Methodist preacher of the church where Don was attending. They were blessed with 66 wonderful years together. The couple had 4 daughters, two in Salt Lake and the last two in Southern California. They moved to Southern California in 1961 after Don (with Judy's help) graduated from the University of Utah. The family remained in Southern California for the next 57 years before moving to Meridian, Idaho 7 years ago.

Judy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in Relief Society as compassionate service leader and visiting teacher supervisor as well as served in the library for the Primary. She also served 10 years helping in the Family History library in Huntington Beach, California.

Children were always an important part of her life whether they were hers or others. Her house became a hangout for her daughter's friends. Many of the neighborhood kids referred to her as Auntie Judy. She kept a clean and organized house and always had an evening meal prepared and ready for all the family to sit down together to eat.

She is survived by her husband, Don of Meridian and four daughters, Donna Linford and Debbie (Paul) Toomey both of Southern California, Jeannette Jester of Nampa and Janice (Tracy) Brown of Meridian, a sister Kathleen (Jerry) Webb of Boise, two brothers Corey Crouch and Wayne (Sonia) Crouch both of Utah, 12 grandchildren, Dani (Forrest) Wyble, Jordan (Emily) Belford, Laura (LJ) Bates, Cyndi (Zakk) Lambertsen, Bryce Linford, Jay Toomey, Jolene (Richard) Taylor, Jordan Brown, Krista Toomey, Marisa Toomey, Sarah (Sebastian) Sanchez, Emily Linford, 13 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Margie and Pamela and a brother Scot.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice and Bright Star care givers for all the love and care they provided for Judy and the family while she was at the Bright Star home.
