Judith Mae Johnson, age 64, passed away unexpectedly in her home on September 30, 2025. Judye was born June 20, 1961 in Minneapolis, MN to Winfield and Mary (Bennett) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, whose presence in life provided endless support for her. Judye is survived by her father, Winfield (Win or Jim); siblings, Jeannine (Johnson) Richison and Sidney Richison, James Johnson and Colleen (McCaleb) Johnson; and many valued nephews, nieces, and cousins. As a child Judy moved from Minneapolis to Fresno, CA where she graduated from Bullard HS in 1979. She attended California State University in Fresno and graduated with a degree in Recreational Therapy. Judye worked as a Recreational Therapist in several venues in Fresno, mostly serving the needs of seniors in assisted living and memory care. She returned to Minnesota with her parents in 2006 and resided in Chanhassen, where she continued her career in Recreational Therapy. She especially loved taking her clients on "field trips" to places like the Old Log Theater and the Minnesota State Fair. Judye had a special love for Golden Retrievers and is survived by her dog, Maxx, who was the light of her life. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
