Kessler & Maguire Funeral HomeDavid (Dave) G. Webber age 74 of Rohnert Park, CA passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025 in Santa Rosa, CA surrounded by family and supported with love.
Dave was born in St. Paul MN on October 25, 1950 to Leonard and Dorothy Webber. Dave graduated from Harding High School and went on to study chemical technology at St. Paul Vocational College, where he met the love of his life Terry, whom he went on to marry on July 24, 1971.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Dorothy Webber, and sisters Corrine and Constance “Connie”.
Dave is survived by his wife Terry Webber (née Weverka), his 6 children Jeremy (Pamela Holden-Webber), Andrew (Gloria), Pamela (David Kahn), Christopher, Sara (Jared Meyer) and Amy (Tom); 13 grandchildren Heather (Pamela), Jack and Kayla (Jeremy), Byron and Jonas (Andrew), Nixie (Christopher), Ethan, Natalie, Aubrey, Olivia, Sofia, Edward, and Henry (Sara); and 2 great grandchildren Maizy and Jude (Heather and Jayson Schumann), and his siblings Tom, Curt (Sandy), Scott, and Traci (Paul), Just before his passing he was also informed of a newly expected great grandchild due in 2026, which undoubtedly brought some much needed joy to a difficult time.
Dave spent the majority of his working life at 3M of Maplewood, MN as a chemical technologist famously working on the scratch and sniff stickers which became an essential part of nearly every elementary school room in America (and not surprisingly made his children quite popular amongst their teachers and schoolmates). A family man who dutifully piled as many kids who could fit into the family station wagon on the annual summer road trip out west to see the mountainous landscapes, natural beauty, and wonders that part of the world had to offer. He would often unwind by playing his acoustic guitar strumming and singing Beatles songs or Puff the Magic Dragon, treating us all to impromptu special concerts. Forever selfless and giving he made sure to always inspire us through his actions and example, help us up when we fell down, and provide just enough encouragement for us to believe that we could overcome any obstacle on our own.
Eventually Dave’s work took him to Northern California where he made his home initially with Terry, Sara and Amy, and later Terry and Amy for the past 26 years. It is also the time when he began to face some of the most significant obstacles of his own life due to failing health. Through the gift of organ donation we were blessed to have him with us for decades longer than would have otherwise been expected, allowing him to see his children grow up, attend several of their weddings, share experiences with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and be present for many of life’s important little moments that would not have been the same without him. We will forever be thankful for it and the extended time with him it gave us. The story of his life, his strength, and ability to defy the odds will not soon be forgotten.
We are forever grateful to his extended health care team including the staff at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital who made Dave’s final moments on earth as good as they could be when facing such insurmountable odds, and providing caring and compassionate support and advice to our family when we needed it most.
There will be a visitation at Kessler and Maguire Funeral Home on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 4-6PM. There will be a Christian burial mass at Holy Spirt Catholic Church (515 S Albert St, St Paul, MN 55116) on Monday, October 20, 2025 with a visitation 1 hour prior.
In lieu of donations to the family we would prefer that any memorial donations instead be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation to further support their work to provide the gift of life through organ donation.
