Judith "Judy" E. Griffith, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on Halloween of 1945 in her cherished hometown of Marion, Ohio, Judith spent her life surrounded by family, love, and laughter.
As a devoted homemaker, Judy dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. Known for her sharp wit and penchant for practical jokes, she never hesitated to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those around her. She cherished time spent at thrift stores, collecting China dolls, and feeding her fascination for the avian world, particularly with her beloved bird, Rico, and loved all animals.
Family was at the heart of Judy's life. She leaves behind two sons, Scott (Carolyn) Griffith and Terry (Cindy) Griffith, and a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Tessa (David) Hanshaw, Kinlee, Alectra, Kimberly, Scott Jr., Alexia, Kirsten, and Kobe Griffith, as well as twelve great-grandchildren and Carol Conley her friend and caregiver. Her nurturing nature extended beyond family to her community, where she was cherished for her warm heart and generous spirit.
Judy was preceded in death by many dear to her: her father, James Byrd; mother, Ida Byrd; her loving spouse, Robert Griffith; her son, Daniel Griffith; and her brothers, James, Ronald, Gary, John, Paul, and Butch, as well as sisters, Patricia and Doris. Her family takes comfort knowing she has been joyfully reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
