Judith "Judy" Mae Hassenstab

Judith Mae “Judy” Hassenstab, 76, Fargo, ND, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Judy was born on September 16, 1948, in Crookston, MN, to Harold and Louise (Flodstrom) Schultz. Her younger years were spent in Crookston, but the family later moved to Moorhead, MN where she graduated from Moorhead High School in 1966. In 1970 Judy was united in marriage to Wayne Hassenstab and they had one daughter together. Judy worked for Silver Line Boats in Moorhead until the company closed in 1980.

While she lived a quiet life and tended to keep to herself, Judy was a good mother and very enjoyable to be around. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing with her family, and she loved to go shopping.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Michael) Westland, Perham, MN and granddaughter, Jeta Hassenstab; brothers, Robert (Rachelle) Schultz, Winona, MN, Wayne (Sandy Nelson) Schultz, Britton, SD and Harold (Michelle) Schultz, Blaine, MN; sister, Marilyn Schultz, Moorhead, MN, and stepmother, Marie Longfors, Blaine, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Darlene; sister, Karen Blanchette, and her husband, Wayne Hassenstab.

A memorial gathering will be held Monday, August 18, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
