Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hahn Funeral Home on Dec. 18, 2025.
Judith E. Kiel passed away after a battle with cancer on December 16, 2025, in Osceola, Indiana. She was born as Judith Ellen Amm on April 12, 1945, to Milburn "Roy" and June Amm in South Bend. On August 9, 1969, she married Brian Jon Kiel–her husband of almost 55 years. Preceding her in death are her husband and parents as well as her brothers Dennis and David.

She and Brian have two daughters; Diana Kiel of Mount Vernon, New York, and Julie Huxford of Osceola; two grandchildren, Bryce (Anna) Huxford of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Jillian Huxford of Middle River, Maryland. Judy's brother, Jerry Amm, lives in St. Louis, Missouri.

Judy stayed at home raising her daughters and also volunteered at their grade school, participated in the PTA, and led a Bluebird troop. When they were older, Judy worked as a church secretary first at Prince of Peace Church of the Brethren, South Bend, and then for many years at First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka, and had been a long time member of Ridgedale Presbyterian Church prior. She enjoyed participating with her Riley High School reunion committee and a philanthropic sorority. Judy was an avid reader and also enjoyed knitting, watching Notre Dame sports, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events and other activities.

Funeral services will be on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11 am, with visitation one hour prior, at First United Methodist Church of Mishawaka.
