NARROWS, VA – Judith Lee Kirby, age 84, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home in Narrows, VA. Born February 24, 1941, in Ballard, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ruby Reed Wills. Judy was a member of the Red Hats Society and the Progress in Narrows Now (PINN) organization. She loved to work outside with her flowers, and she enjoyed traveling. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth "Bill" Kirby. Survivors include one son, Doug Kirby and wife Carolyn of Narrows, VA; one daughter, Deborah Kirby of Christiansburg, VA; and three grandchildren, Blake and Jackie Kirby of Narrows, VA, and Thomas Dudding of Christiansburg, VA. Additionally, the family would like to thank Pam Perkins for her friendship to Judy and Doug and her devotion to caring for Judy and Bill over the past two years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Narrows Junior Woman's Club in Judy's memory.
In keeping with Judy's wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Aubrey Whitlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
