Judith May LaSalle, of Leominster, MA affectionately known as Judy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 79, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Born on October 7, 1945, in the same vibrant city, Judy's life was a tapestry woven with love, creativity, and a devotion to those she held dear.
Judy's journey began as one of nine spirited children born to Herman "Hank" and Pauline L'Ecuyer. She grew up surrounded by the hustle and bustle of a large family, a foundation that instilled in her the values of unity and resilience. Though she was preceded in death by five of her siblings, George L'Ecuyer, Patricia "Peachy" Carlson, Kenneth L'Ecuyer, Cindy Nelson, and Richard L'Ecuyer, her memories with them remained a source of joy throughout her life.
She attended Leominster High, Judy's education laid the groundwork for her future endeavors. While her proudest achievement was raising her family, she later contributed her skills to the workforce at Cincinnati Milacron Heald Corporation in Worcester, MA. There, she excelled in the purchasing department and greeted many with a warm smile as a receptionist.
Judy's heart belonged to her beloved husband of 60 years, Lester LaSalle. Together, they nurtured a family that was her pride and joy. She leaves behind her daughter, Lorna Stone and her husband Jonathan; her son Mark LaSalle and his wife Karen; her cherished grandson, Kyle LaSalle and his significant other, Sarah Ulmer; and her treasured granddaughter, Alyssa Pickering and her husband Michael. Judy's legacy continues through her three great-grandchildren, Landon, Alexandria, and Kenneth.
Judy's hands were rarely still, as she found solace and joy in crafting, sewing, and cross-stitching-creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her family for generations. Her love for cooking was an expression of love, with each meal she prepared for family and friends a testament to her nurturing soul.
A social butterfly, Judy relished the company of others, whether it was through a friendly game of cards, an exciting bingo night, or indulging in her passion for the long-running television series, "General Hospital." Her sense of adventure took her traveling across the country, exploring new places and making memories that she would recount with her signature enthusiasm. She looked forward to returning each year to the island of St. Maarten.
Judy was a beacon of love, always ready with a helping hand or a creative solution. Her legacy is one of love, craftsmanship, and a life joyfully lived. As we remember Judith May LaSalle, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and warmth. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Judy's life was a melody of affection, artistry, and unwavering dedication to her family-a song that will resonate for years to come.
She will be greatly missed.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 2nd at 1PM at Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
