Judith A. Leifeld (nee Barnes), of O'Fallon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late James C. Leifeld; cherished daughter of the late Aubrey and Marie Barnes. Devoted mother of Sandy (Joe) Greco, Rich Leifeld, and Karen Beckley; loving grandmother of Elise (Jeffrey), Matt (Ali), Tyler (Lilyan), Jake, Anthony, and Seth; treasured great-grandmother of Grace, Ada, Waylon, and Emilia; dear sister of Jan (Charles) Reckenberg.
Judy had a deep passion for reading and was an avid reader. She enjoyed boating and traveling with her husband and family. Her love for animals was profound; over the years, she cared for several dogs, fish, hamsters, and birds. Her commitment to animal welfare extended beyond her pets, as she supported animal causes financially. She was a collector of angels and bells and found joy in painting, sewing, cooking, and shopping always brought her happiness. Judy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Judy's name to the American Cancer Society and Throat Cancer Foundation.
