Judith G. Marchak

Judith G. Marchak (Lomas), 80, of Cranston, died Tuesday, October 28th at Greenwood Center surrounded by her family.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Harold G. and Mary A. (Holland) Lomas, she was a resident of Cranston for the past seven years, previously residing in North Carolina.
Judith was a world-class chef and had worked at many restaurants around the country, including San Francisco, CA in the 1960's, at the height of the music and cultural revolution. While working as the head chef for the former Spindrift Restaurant in Newport, she claimed first prize in the Annual Chowder Cook-Off several years in a row.
She leaves two sisters, Nancy J. Furtado of Cranston and Sallie P. Prisco and her husband, Joseph of Warwick. She was the Godmother of Christina Prisco and Aunt of Jennifer Prisco. She also leaves many nephews and nieces and her McShawn's family. She was the former wife of the late Johnny Marchak, and devoted partner to the late Jeanne Walker (Whitakers, NC). Beloved nanny of Shyanne Booth and sister of the late John J. Lomas.
