Judith Ann Maskey, 81, of Wellsville, passed away Wednesday August 23, 2023, at St. Andrews at New Florence Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, at Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville with Rev. Kevin Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home.
Judy was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 26, 1942. She was the daughter of Norman H. and Florence (Ayers) Tamme. On June 30, 1961, in Mexico, she was married to John L. Maskey who preceded her in death on May 11, 2022.
Judy attended Sanford Brown Business College in St. Louis. She moved to Wellsville in 1947 and spent her remaining years living here except for traveling with her husband while he served in the Navy. She worked at the National Garment Factory in Wellsville as a seamstress, Ardco Finishing Company in the office, and in food service at Wellsville-Middletown High School for a short time. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband, sewing, scrapbooking, genealogy, and traveling south for winter and staying at the RV parks where her husband and her met many friends. She was very active with her grandchildren and great grandchildren too.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Kevin Ray (Angela) Maskey of Augusta, Georgia and Kenneth Brian "Pix" (Kelly) Maskey of Wellsville; five grandchildren; Brian (Michelle) Maskey of Wellsville, John V. Maskey of Wellsville, Jason (Krysta) Maskey of O'fallon, Forrest Maskey of Augusta, Georgia, and Amber (Jarmey) Martin of Tampa, Florida.; and eight great grandchildren, Hunter, Ayden, Kale, Jack, Emalynn, Willow, Brayden, and Brody; one brother-in-law Gary Maskey of Wellsville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Leslie Maskey; sister Florence Maskey; brother-in-law Murray Dean Maskey; sister-in-law Janice Maskey; sister-in-law Myra Joan Smith; brother-in-law Donald Smith; and one granddaughter-in-law Alicia Maskey.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Fairmount Cemetery. They may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
