Judith Nass Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Inc. - Wesleyville from Aug. 5 to Aug. 6, 2025.
Judith "Judy" Helen Nass, formerly of Prospect Avenue, made the transition to life eternal on Monday, August 4, 2025. She was born March 7, 1940 in Erie, daughter of John and Mildred Stewart Nass. She graduated from Strong Vincent in 1958. She was a founding member of both the Steady Strivers and H.E.R.D., which were groups that provided a variety of social, recreational, and athletic activities for disabled adults. This offered her the opportunity to attend many state conventions of United Cerebral Palsy. She had the honor of being given the award of "Handicap Adult" in 1993. Judy served her Lord in many ways. She was Financial Recording Secretary for 30 years at Christ United Methodist Church, where she also enjoyed singing in the chancel choir and participating in many Bible studies. She was also a very active member of Koinonia of Erie County. In spite of the distance, she was also an active member of Reynoldsburg Community Church. A lifelong joy to Judy was also her card ministry, which helped her to stay connected to many friends and loved ones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother in infancy; and her sister, Nancy Nass. Survivors include her godchildren, Donna Kaufman and Jim and Kate Ramey; her grandsons, Kasey and Jason; as well as many nieces and nephews. It was the friendly interaction of the people she loved that tied life all together for Judy. Nothing was more important to her than the love of family and friends. She was the happiest when she was able to be of service to others. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday, August 13th from 11 am until the time of the Funeral Service there at 1 pm conducted by Pastor Roger Scarlett. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Reynoldsburg Community Church at www.reynoldsburgcc.com or Make-A-Wish of Western PA and West Virginia. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
