Robert Simmons

Robert J. Simmons, age 80, of Erie, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He was born in Erie on July 20, 1945, son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Pamula Simmons.

Bob was a 1963 graduate of Academy High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Arts from Edinboro College. He worked in the tool & die field, working with CNC machines, retiring from Perry Screw Machining Co. Bob attended Grace Gospel Chapel and was active in the Life's Key Ministry. He enjoyed time at the Glenwood YMCA, exercising and visiting with friends. Bob loved the outdoors, painting, daily walks, reading, visits to the library and animals. He was also an avid sports fan and was known to enjoy sitting outside, drinking his coffee and doing what he called "people watching".

Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mitzie Simmons; three children, Michael Simmons (Suann), Matthew Simmons (Laura Hanlin) and Timothy Simmons (Tammy); one brother, Paul Simmons (Becky); and two nieces.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Road, on Sunday, February 22nd from 3 to 6 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday, February 23rd at 10:30 am.
