Judith Ann Salentine "Jude" July 7, 1943- July 14, 2025
Judith Ann Salentine, age 82, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 after a short, and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 7, 1943 to Norbert and Margaret (Mehl) Salentine in Milwaukee, but grew up on the family farm in New Berlin. Jude graduated from Waukesha South High School in 1961, and went on to work at Harnischfeger Manufacturing as a payroll specialist for 46.5 years until she retired. She made lifelong friendships there and saw many of them regularly.
Jude was an avid gardener and loved working in her flower beds, cultivating her vegetable garden, and picking her raspberries, and strawberries. She used those raspberries to make the best pretzel torte ever, and brought it to every family gathering.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Castle Hospice for their phenomonal care. We would also like to thank her neighbor, Tom Sullivan, who was always there when she needed him.
She is survived by her brothers, Richard (Kathie), and Robert (Lynn) Salentine. Her devoted nieces, and caregivers, Kristine (Alex) Colias, and Rebecca (Matthew) Mueller. Further survived by her niece, Jennifer (Jay) Hippel, and nephew Benjamin (Michelle) Salentine as well as her loving great-nephews, Andrew Fox, Logan, Reid, Bennett, and Griffin and her great-nieces Eleni, and Quinn. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Margaret, and her special friend Jack Boettcher.
