Judith Schwabe

Judith S. Schwabe (Judy) passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2026, in Peoria, Arizona. Born on September 26, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, she was a proud alumna of Gage Park High School and Northwestern University.

Her thirty-year career in the publishing industry began in 1966, where she made significant contributions to Cahners Publishing Company in Des Plaines, IL, and Clissold Publishing in Chicago, IL. She managed departments in advertising, production, and purchasing. She was a successful woman in a man's world.

In 1996, Judy and her husband, Robert Walter Schwabe, moved to Peoria, AZ where she joined Morton Salt in Glendale, AZ as a customer service/materials management representative. After Bob's passing in 2003, she moved to Merritt Island, FL, continuing with Morton Salt in customer service and purchasing. Upon retirement, she returned to Peoria, AZ, where she continued her friendships in the area.

No matter where she lived, Judy kept close ties with members of her large extended family, often traveling back to Chicago for the yearly family reunion. She is dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her mother, Loretta C. Pearn, her father, Douglas Bruce Pearn, and her sister, Laurene Pennington. Judy's legacy continues through her loving daughter, Jena Borah, her three grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
