Judith M. "Judy" Shaffer

Judith "Judy" M. Shaffer, 86, of Tiona, PA, died early Friday July 4th, 2025, in the Rouse Home after a period of declining health.She was born on January 29, 1939, in Mayburg, PA, Forest County, the daughter of the late G. Edward and Gertrude Wilson Miner. Judy was a graduate of Warren Area High School, Class of 1956. Judy was a longtime member of the Tiona Global Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. Music was a big part of Judy's life; she loved to sing. Judy enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings. She also enjoyed making beautiful crocheted afghans for family and friends. Judy was a licensed beautician and Co-owned the Beauty Boutique in Warren for many years. In 1958 she married Hartwell Shaffer in Frewsburg, NY, and they spent over 45 loving years together before he passed in 2003.Judy is survived by her loving children, Jon Shaffer and wife Dawn of Penndel, PA, and Jennifer Hackley and husband Jack of Tiona, PA; grandchildren, Stefan, Matt, Mark, Sarah, and Madison; great grandchildren, Alaina and Simon; and her son in law, Rick Kirkwood, of Sheffield PA.In addition to her parents, and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Kirkwood, and her sister Connie TownleyMemorial services will be held on Tuesday July 8th, 2025, at 5:00 pm in the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East Street Warren, PA, with the Rev. Ruth Ann Varrato, pastor of Tiona Global Methodist Church, officiating.
