Judy Stensland, 84 of Oregon Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Judy was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 30, 1940 to Frederick K. and Margaret A. (Dean) Willard. She was a 1958 graduate of Waite High School. Judy was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Judy was a diligent, dedicated Administrative Assistant who retired at age 78 from her job at Lucas County Domestic Relations Court. In her retirement, she volunteered for various duties with her church and condo association. Judy looked forward to the Waite Ladies Luncheon every month and was treasured by her high school friends, especially those life long friends from grade school.
Judy was a kind, compassionate person who approached her cancer diagnosis with fierce determination and a strong will to live no matter what she might have to endure. Her family and friends will always remember her sense of humor and quick wit which came with effortless, impeccable timing. She was dearly loved by many and will be missed incredibly.
Surviving are her children, Mitch Stensland, Katy (Dave) Hess, Amy (Bruce) Hendee, Susan (Elton) Holleman, Roy Stensland; grandchildren, Morgan Hess, Allison (James) Stitt, Brian Hess, Tristan Stitt, Bethany Zenner, Allison Hendee, Nick Hendee, Anne Holleman; beloved sister Jane (Mel) Sautter; sister-in-law Joyce (Don) Willard. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Willard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon from 11:00am until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Faith United Methodist Church, Oregon Ohio or to the Toledo Humane Society in honor of her adopted cat, Jellicle (Jelli).
