KOONTZ LAKE – Judith Ann Tomaszkiewicz of Koontz Lake passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in her home following an illness. She was born on January 24, 1944 in Bridgewater, SD to the late August W. and Edna E. (Schneider) Sievers. Judy was 78 years-old at the time of her death.
Judy lived in the area since 1994 coming from Chicago and was a retired Bank Teller retiring from 1st Source Bank. On September 10, 2005 in Valparaiso, she married the late Peter J. Tomaszkiewicz. Judy was a member of the Walkerton American Legion Post #189 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, and rides in Jerry's convertible. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.
She is survived by one sister Janet (Bob) Kasten of West Bend, WI; one aunt Melva Smith of Illinois; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Gerald Ewing of Knox. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers Kenneth and Kevin Sievers.
Visiting hours will be from 11-Noon CDT Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Funeral Services will be at Noon CDT also on Saturday, September 17 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grovertown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Eagle Creek Church, Knox, IN.
