Judith A. (Duggan) Wimmer, 81, of Buzzards Bay, was called home to the Lord on one of her favorite holidays, St. Patrick's Day – Thursday, March 17, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late William E. Wimmer.
Born in North Conway, NH, Judy aka "Jude Babe" or "Lulu" was the daughter of the late James M. and Eudah May (Moody) Duggan whose memories she held dear. A life-long resident of Bourne, a town she greatly loved as she was closely surrounded by family and friends which she considered the most the important aspect of life. Selfless and humble, Judy was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Judy dedicated much of her life to caring for patients at Cape Cod Nursing Home in Buzzards Bay as a nursing assistant.
Judy was an avid movie fan and Red Sox devotee. Following retirement, she spent her time watching her beloved grandson Noah and keeping in touch with everyone. Judy had a sympathetic ear where all who reached out to her (and there were many) could confide in her. She had a special trait of being nonjudgmental while never speaking ill of anyone.
Judy loved music and dancing. She was particularly fond of The Beatles, Elvis, Motown and Queen, just to name of few. Many a viewer could catch Judy's dance moves at weddings and parties.
Survivors include her daughters, Jody Bergeron of Mashpee and Jaime Wimmer and husband Scott E. Allaway of Brockton; her sister, Mary Rebello of Buzzards Bay; her brother, John Duggan of Buzzards Bay; and her grandson, Noah Bergeron.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne at 11:30 AM. Please arrive at the cemetery at 11:15 AM.
