Obituary: Judy Ann Oliver Lane

Judy Ann Oliver Lane, age 82, of 500 Southern Street, Rutherfordton, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 13, 2025. She passed peacefully at Autumn Care of Forest City, NC. Judy was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Rutherfordton.

Born on July 6, 1943, Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jason

"Bud" Angus Lane, Jr., who passed away on December 31, 2014. They were married for 62 beautiful years, and now they are reunited once again in Heaven.

Judy was a devoted wife, a cherished mother, and a woman of unwavering faith. She lived her life as a reflection of Christ's love-always putting others first, offering encouragement, and opening her heart and home to anyone in need.

She was a loving mother to her children. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sherry Suttle, Susan McEntire, and Rachel Lane. She was also preceded in death by her dear son, Danny Lane.

Judy dearly loved and spoiled her grandchildren: Heather Sisk, Shannon Suttle, Mitchell Suttle, Holly Hagler, and Cody McEntire. Her great-grandchildren brought her immense joy: Alie Suttle, Lincoln Suttle, Sawyer Suttle, Carter McEntire, Avery McEntire, Noah Mangini, and Maverick Hagler.

Judy's love language was cooking. She had a gift for feeding everyone who came through her door. Whether it was a family cookout, a church event, or just a simple visit, no one ever left her home hungry. Her warmth and hospitality will be remembered by all who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

A graveside service will be held at Felowship Baptist Church, 210 Silvers Lake Rd Rutherfordton NC 28139, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 with Rev. Tom Runyon officiating.

Thank you, Mom, for a lifetime of love. You were our greatest blessing, and your memory will forever be our guiding light. Give Daddy a big hug and kiss for us. We will see you soon.
