Judy Ann Boydston, 81, Plattsburg, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters March 9, 2025 at Benton House of Staley Hills. Judy was born November 26, 1943, in Clarinda, IA to James Edward and Lorraine (Morrison) Dunn. Judy moved to Kansas City as a child and was a 1961 graduate of Ruskin High School.

Judy was a hard worker and work a various jobs to help provide for her family. As a young woman she cut tobacco in Platte County. Worked at the McCormick Distillery in Weston. She also worked for Unitog Uniforms and occasionally was a bar tender. She was an administrative assistant for various companies and at the Jackson County Court House.

She lived many years in Weston. Judy was a Girls Scout Leader, attended the Baptist Church and had a love of gardening. Judy was married to Alan Boydston and moved to Plattsburg Missouri where they made their home for 24 years. Judy enjoyed traveling across the United States Alan seeing new places. In her spare time, she was an avid reader of romance novels. Judy was a loving mother and a doting grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alan in August 2011 and her daughter Julie Crowley, November 25, 2024.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Asbury (John), Lisa Bailey, Shelli Howerton (Allen). Stepdaughter, Samantha Cunningham and her stepson Alan Boydston, Jr. One brother Gene Dunn (Bonnie) and one sister Janice Bates. 14 Grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A combined memorial service for Judy and her daughter Julie will be held at 11:00am. Friday March 14, 2025, at Park Lawn Funeral Home (1640 N. MO 291 Hwy., Liberty, MO 64068) Visitation will be from 10-11am prior to the service. The family suggest contributions be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.

Judy’s presence touched many lives. Her memories will be cherish by all those who knew and loved her.
