A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Judy Lynn Davis, will be held at 2pm on August 5, 2023, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home located at 803 N. Texas St., Emory, TX, providing an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects.
Surrounded by her family, Judy went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Medical City in McKinney, TX. She was born on November 19, 1943, in Greenville, Texas, to parents, Henry Cabe and Clara Mae Armstrong. She graduated from Lubbock High School in Lubbock, TX, class of 1961.
Judy was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend. She lived her life cherishing every relationship, admiring her boys, Doug and Ronny, loving her grandkids & great-grand babies, observing nature and enjoying her pets.
Serving as Manager of Rains County Abstract for over 30 years, Judy was a beloved member of her community, touching so many lives and families of Rains County. Her life was filled with warmth, love and a unique sense of humor she enjoyed sharing with all.
Judy is survived by her sons, Doug Dowdy and wife Tammy, Ronny Dowdy and wife Audra;grandchildren, Bentley Davis and wife Samantha, Jeremy Dowdy and wife Shawn, Chris Dowdy, Lindsey Meyer, Wyatt Dowdy; great-grandchildren, Addison Dowdy, Beckham Dowdy, Ethan, Laikyn and Jep; and brother, Charles Armstrong. She is preceded in death by husband, Sonny Davis, and her parents, Henry Cabe and Clara Mae Armstrong.
