Judy Kay Fisher, 68, passed tragically alongside her daughter, Jessica Fisher, in a car accident on January 19, 2026.

Judy was born May 10, 1957, in Waterloo, Iowa to John E. and Theresa (Etringer) Vieth. She graduated from Don Bosco High School, in Gilbertville in 1975. In 1976 she and Tim Fisher were united in marriage. They had three children and were later divorced. She remained close to Tim and the entire Fisher family, having a special bond with Donna Fisher and Jeanie Fisher.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to travel the world with friends and family. She spent her free time making memories with family; biking with friends; and generously volunteering for various organizations.

Survivors include her daughter, Amy Fisher (Ryan May) of Cedar Rapids; son, Lee Fisher (Lindsey) of Hiawatha; and Tim Fisher (Joe Clark) of Iowa City. Additionally, she is survived by three granddaughters, Madelyn Pyle, Kaylynn Fisher, and Jordynn Fisher; her mother, Theresa Vieth, of Cedar Falls; six siblings, Annette (Duane) Schmit, of Jesup; John J. Judy was one of sweetest people I know. Always was. We went to school together. In the last few years she started joined our group of oldies that very together once a month when we can. She was always a lot of fun. My sympathy and prayers to all of you. There is no doubt they have their wings.
