Judy Jack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moles Farewell Tributes & Crematory – Bayview Chapel from Oct. 12 to Oct. 13, 2021.
Judy was born June 10, 1965, in Duncan, British Columbia to Norman Johnny Sr. and Marjorie Jim. Judy was one of 12 children in Canada but raised in Nooksack by Ben Charles Sr. and Dorothy (Johnny) Charles who had 7 children of their own.

She graduated Mt. Baker High School and later worked at Simplot Cannery, with her mother and sisters. Paul and Judy had 5 children together and later married on December 12, 2010.

Judy lived a humble and simple life, she shared all her love and never judged anyone. She was respectful, always had a prayer in her heart for her family and friends, even in her weakest moments. It didn't matter how many times she saw you that day, she would still give you a big hug and an "I love you" plus one extra time before she left. Tradition was very important to her and made sure to call you by your Indian name, if she didn't know it, she would be sure to ask what it was for the next time she saw you.

She kept her hands busy, baking her famous cinnamon rolls and yeast bread for the people of many communities. On her down time, she enjoyed playing games, going to the casino, collecting agates, and watching crime drama shows. When baseball season came around, you could find a Pepsi in her hand while rooting for her favorite team, the Mariners. She was their biggest fan!

One thing about Judy was that she was stubborn, and very strong willed, especially when it came to Paul. She was very protective and banned him from Bigfoot Java because she thought the barista was asking "too many questions" and every time after, Paul wasn't allowed to order and would have to pull forward for someone else in the back to order for him.

She was like a mother to all her nieces and nephews, never turning anyone away no matter what. The annual Christmas Eve gathering was where she learned the importance of caring for the people and being together. She would collect all year around, like her mother would, to get ready for the special day as she knew it was very important to our family.

Her beaming smile, big hugs and "I love you bunches" will be truly missed.

A prayer service will be held Tuesday, October 12, at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 13 at 10:00am. Both services will be held at the Nooksack Community Building.
