Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow (TJM) Funeral Homes - Gainesville on Jan. 13, 2026.
Judy Kay Quigley Keltz, age 76, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away on January 10, 2026.

Judy was born on April 21, 1949, in Independence, Kansas, to Walter and Lena (Blanchard) Sanders. She was a graduate of Independence High School.

She married David L. Quigley on May 22, 1971, and together they shared many years of marriage and raised two children. David preceded her in death. Judy later married Warren Keltz, who also preceded her in death.

Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family above all else. She also had a deep love for her animals and cherished her three cats, Shirley, Bubba, and Fluffy, along with her beloved dog, Buckee. Judy enjoyed going on cruises, gambling trips, square dancing, collecting antiques, and had a special fondness for anything with a frog on it. Her kindness, sense of fun, and warm spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lena Sanders; her husbands, David Quigley and Warren Keltz; her brother, Dick Sanders; her in-laws, Everett and Peggy (Hopkins) Quigley; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Hare.

Judy is survived by her son, Nathan Quigley and wife Ginny Gray Brummett of Gainesville, Texas; and her daughter, Melissa Quigley Potts and husband Brian Potts of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Passauer, and nieces Lori Boyle-Hofstrom of Liberty, Kansas; Connie Greer of Independence, Kansas; and Christy Stegman of Topeka, Kansas; brother-in-law Johnny (Fran) Quigley of El Reno, Oklahoma; and sisters-in-law Alice Sixkiller of Independence, Kansas, and Christine Miner of Willcox, Arizona.

Additional survivors include her three beloved grandchildren, Lacy Brummett, Cody (Kaylee) Brummett, and Fancy (Tim) Ford; and her three treasured great-grandchildren, Maddy, Maddox, and Miles Ford.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Potts Chapel, located at 122 S. Penn Ave., Independence, Kansas 67301, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with graveside services immediately following at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests plants be given in Judy's memory, so that her love may continue to grow.

Judy's legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
