Judy Lynn Knight (Hood), age 80, of Michigan City Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, from complications of pneumonia.

Born December 14, 1944, in Greencastle, Indiana, Judy grew up in Reelsville, where she attended Reelsville High School. She was proud to be both a yell leader and a majorette in the school marching band, bringing energy and spirit to her classmates and community.

She is survived by her sister, Terri L. (Hood) Jackson; sister-in-law, Karen Hood; her three sons, David M. Elwell, James Dan Elwell (Laurie), and Darren T. Elwell (Amy); her grandchildren, Heather Elwell, Michael Elwell (Alex), Anjelika Elwell, Samantha Elwell, Stephanie Elwell, and Timothy Elwell (Stacie); six great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Harriett L. Hood; her brothers, John L. Hood, Timothy L. Hood, and James L. Hood; and her brother-in-law, Darrell Jackson.

Judy's legacy will live on in the love of her family, the memories shared with her friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her 80 years.
