Judy Koehler, originally of Cincinnati, passed away in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on August 19, 2025 at the age of 76. Judy was born in Cincinnati on May 29, 1949 to Roy Elder and Emma "Evelyn" (Ray Parker) Dennon. She worked as a receptionist in various veterinarians' offices over the years and raised two amazing boys: David and Roger Kalota.
Judy enjoyed making handcrafted gifts for those she loved. She was skilled in sewing, crocheting, ceramics and wood carving. Her sons share fond memories of Judy fashioning much of the family's wardrobe on her Singer treadle sewing machine in the early years, as well as funding her Christmas purchases by selling crocheted items. When she wasn't working, she made many memories on the Ohio River with her family and friends.
Judy leaves behind her loving husband Terry Koehler; beloved sons: Roger (Erica Otten) Kalota and David Kalota, cherished grandchildren: Laila Jackson and Vivienne Kalota; siblings: Phyllis Hutton, Athena Parker, and Roy Elder Jr.; along with her brother in law: Ken Koehler and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In recent years, Judy had been reunited with her long-lost niece: Amy (Derek) Carpenter for which she was extremely grateful.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; her brother: James Pritchard; sister: Evelyn Humphries and daughter in law: Virginia "Ginger" Kalota
