Judy Marie Pilant, born on August 7, 1944, passed away peacefully at her home on November 10, 2024, at the age of 80. Judy was known for her kind and loving nature, always putting others before herself and leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. On June 19, 1982, Judy married Frank Pilant in Arkansas, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories. They worked side by side for 17 years, owning and operating the Boots and Britches Western Store, where they not only grew their business but also became a cherished part of their community. Judy was a woman of great warmth and compassion. She spent many years working at the DHS Welfare Office in Pryor, where she made a difference in the lives of countless individuals, always with a gentle heart and an open ear. Her sweetness and caring nature extended beyond her work, as she was a true friend to all who knew her. Judy never had a bad word to say about anyone, and her spirit was a reflection of love and kindness in its purest form. She enjoyed cooking, and in her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and tailoring her clothing. Judy had a special fondness for collecting frogs, clocks, cows, and crystal—treasures that reminded her of the simple joys in life. Judy’s family and friends will forever remember her as a woman with a heart full of love, always ready to offer a helping hand and a listening ear. She was sweet, loving, and deeply compassionate—traits that made her beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Frank Pilant of the home; and brother, Buddy Jordan of Pryor, Oklahoma; along with many family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her gentle spirit.
