Judy Stocstill

Judy Blanton Stocstill, age 76, of Unionville, TN, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Vanderbilt-Bedford Hospital.
Judy was born on November 17, 1949, in Shelbyville, TN to the late Jesse and Margaret Holden Blanton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kevin Stocstill.
She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-five years, Dennis Michael Stocstill; daughter, Lori Thompson of Unionville; siblings: Jerry Blanton of Unionville, Randy (Sandra) Blanton of Smyrna; grandchildren: Danielle (Jeffrey) Gaines of Shelbyville, Grant (Andrew) Thompson of Smyrna, Dylan Stocstill, and Dalton Stocstill both of Shelbyville; great-grandchildren: Elora Gaines, Everett Gaines; nephew, Brad Blanton, niece, Amy Blanton and her beloved pet, Harley the Bassett hound.
Judy was a graduate of Shelbyville Central High School Class of 1968. She spent twenty-five years as an LPN working in local hospitals and health fields which included Marshall County Medical Center in Lewisburg, TN, Bedford County General Hospital in Shelbyville, private Home Health agencies and finally worked with special needs children for Bedford County School Systems before retiring.
She was a member of the Church of the Christian Faith and a former member of the Unionville Jaycees.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Joe Calvert officiating. Burial will follow at Pressgrove Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held prior to the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
