Judy (Bullinger) Vasey, 73, Bismarck, ND passed away on June 3, 2025 at Sanford Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Judy brought love and laughter wherever she went. She was the absolute sweetest and was adored by so many. She will be dearly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 8 at Kiwanis Park Shelter #1, 318 S Washington St, Bismarck.
Judy was born in Elgin, ND on October 6, 1951 to Adam and Nelda (Finck) Bullinger. She graduated from Mott Lincoln High School in 1969 and received her Cosmetology License from Jacks Hairstylists College in 1970.
Judy married her High School sweetheart, Gary Vasey, on August 22, 1970 in Mott, ND. They made their home in Bismarck with their two sons: Aaron (1974) and Reed (1978). She was a proud and loving “boys' mom and grandma” who cherished every moment spent with her loving family.
Judy worked as a hairstylist at Regis Salon and Hair of the Century until 2008. She then opened her own cleaning business, Meticulous House Keeping until 2020. She was cherished by all clients and was her grandson's (Seth and Lucas) number #1 fan. You would find her and Gary at every sporting event, band concert or award ceremony. She loved laughing and spending time with her sister Jane, summer days with her family and friends at their log cabin on Lake Tschida, her “happy place.” Judy had an affectious smile, the best giggle, the kindest heart and would do anything for anyone. She loved to cook, bake and host family meals and celebrations. She was the absolute best and will be forever loved and missed by so many.
Judy is survived by her husband, Gary Vasey; her sons, Aaron (Emily) Vasey and Reed (Aaron Brown) Vasey; her sister, Jane Roth; grandsons, Seth and Lucas Vasey; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Nelda Bullinger; in-laws, Frank and Regina (Friez) Vasey; brothers, Jerry and Jim Bullinger; sister-in-law, Janice Ross; and brother-in-law, Dwight Ross.
