Judy married Clarence Eldon Vaughn on January 17, 1964, and celebrated 45 years of marriage. Together, they raised their children, lived for the Lord, and worked diligently until his passing on February 24, 2010.
After graduating high school, Judy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture from the University of Illinois. Along with being a homemaker to her family, she had been a Home Economics teacher at Oblong High School and a floral designer with Lawrenceville Greenhouse. She loved cultivating a large garden that fed and nourished the souls of her family, designing beautiful floral arrangements for any and all occasions, knitting handmade gifts, sewing projects from the most difficult projects to a missing button for a grandchild, playing the piano for church and reading the Bible.
Judy was a devoted Christian. She had been a member of Central Christian Church and enjoyed many years in her attendance at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. She also enjoyed being a part of the Women's Bible study group at New Hope where she was able to share her wisdom and continue her own spiritual growth. Judy was a beloved mother and grandmother of many talents. Her greatest gift to her family was her faith and prayers. She prayed without ceasing for so many individuals. Her faith wasn't loud, but it was steady and strong.
