Judy Marie Kibler Wicker 82, of Prosperity died Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her home.
Born on August 28, 1942, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Marine “Rainey” Richardson Kibler.
Judy attended Pomaria School and graduated from the Crowns Beauty College in Columbia. She retired as the owner and operator of Judy's Beauty Salon. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She had served as chairperson for the bereavement committee and was a member of the lunch bunch. Judy was a former Den Leader for the St. Paul Cub Scouts.
She was a charter member of the Pomaria Rescue Squad where she had the distinction of being one of the first EMT's and was presently an honorary member of the squad.
Judy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Carold W. Wicker; a son, Nathan Carold (Tammy) Wicker of Prosperity; a sister, Marian Corley of Newberry and grandchildren, Mark Traman and Jacob(Kelsie) Wicker.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, June 21, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dawn Rister and Rev. Floyd Sides. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Kibler, Craig Addy, Paul Werts, Dustin Davenport, Russell Kibler, and Barry Richardson.
