Moody Funeral Services Inc - StuartMrs. Judy Dale Wright Williams, age 83 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at SECU Hospice Care Center in Yadkinville, North Carolina. She was born in Patrick County on February 13, 1942 to the late Ernest Arnold Wright and Virginia (Tootsie) Pilson Wright. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Woodrow Williams, a sister and brother-in-law, Betty Baliles and Posey L. Baliles, Jr., a brother-in-law, David Byers; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Horton Wright. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong member of Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was the organist for most of her life. She was a graduate of The Medical College of Virginia and received her Master’s Degree from Virginia Tech. She had spent her working career as a public health nurse and had been the Director of nursing at Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Stuart.
Mrs. Williams is survived by two sons, Mark Williams (Lori) of Martinsville and Andy Williams (Angelique) of Rolesville, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Nicholas Williams, Nathan Williams, Brandon Carter (Ann) and Alycia Tolliver (Tony); five great-grandchildren, Ariya, Gavin, Kaliya, Haley and Zoey; four siblings, Gerald Wright, Janet Clodfelter (Bruce), Linda Byers and Gary Wright (Cindy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Doug Shuff, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
