Judyth Abbagliato Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, LLC - Beacon on Mar. 15, 2026.
Judyth A. Abbagliato, a resident of Beacon, has entered into rest on March 13, 2026 at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family.

Judyth was born on March 30, 1950 in Bremen, Germany, the daughter of the late Ben Kalous and Helen Wilkins. Initially working in nursing in her earlier years, she transitioned to a 30-year career within the Beacon City School District helping with security. Students attending lovingly gave her the nickname "Silver Fox". She was deeply loved and respected by all the students and staff, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met throughout the district.

She was a woman who held faith close to her heart and was an active member of the Fishkill Church of the Nazarene, devoting her time attending bible study and church services. She was also a volunteer for "Taking it to the Streets" ministry, sharing the Gospel to her community and those who needed it most.

Above all, she was a dedicated mother to her three daughters, and loving grandmother to her four grandchildren. She loved spending time and making memories with her family, whether it be playing cards or cheering her grandchildren on in their sports. Her presence will be deeply missed by her beloved family and those who knew her.

Judyth is survived by her daughters Dawn Anemelos and her husband Niko, Laura Abbagliato, and Crissy Abbagliato; brother Harry Kalous and his wife Heidi; grandchildren Andrew, Tyler, Ayden, and Sofia.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, March 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations in memory of Judyth may be made to the Fishkill Church of the Nazarene.
