Julia Bongo Obituary
Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 10 30 a.m., immediately followed by a 11 a.m. Mass at St. Aloysius Church, Caldwell. The interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Born in Newark, N.J., Mrs. Bongo moved to Pine Brook 52 years ago.
She was an elementary school teacher for many years with the Montville Township School System before retiring.
Mrs. Bongo was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis Bongo, dearest parents, Lorenzo and Frances Riviezzo, and beloved sister, Mildred Coughlin.
She is survived by her loving children, David Bongo, Susan Miceli and her husband, Rick, Steve Bongo and his wife, Lisa, and Lisa Montalto and her husband, Rick, and cherished grandchildren Amanda Miceli Atkins and her husband, Drew, Daniel Miceli and his wife, Ash, Jack Montalto, Emily Bongo, Kristen Bongo, Nicole Bongo, and great-grandchildren, Ali Atkins, Max Atkins and Isabel Miceli.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or at https://www.stjude.org would be appreciated.

I'm sorry for your loss. I taught with Julia in the late 80's at Valley View school. She was a terrific colleague and always provided advice and support when I first started teaching.
