Julia “Judy” Ann Cabe went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2026. She was 85 years old.
Judy was born in Franklin, North Carolina on August 26, 1940 to the late Arwood and Eva Lee. She called Durham home for the last 60 years of her life.
Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Harold Lee Cabe, their three daughters Lori Little (Martin) of Raleigh, Marcie Sellars (John) of Durham, and Darlene Williams (Allan) of Durham; her sisters Bonnie Henson and Glenda Sanders of Franklin, her brother Darryl Lee of Franklin; her grandchildren Ashlee of Raleigh, Jesse (Hannah) of Rolesville, Kendall of Wisconsin, Heather (Josh) of Brevard, and Logan (Adriane) of Youngsville; along with five great-grandchildren, Dakota, Jace, Sophia, John, Hudson and two more on the way. She was preceded in death by her brothers Boyd Lee and David Lee.
Judy, known to her family as Nana, enjoyed gardening, birds, cooking, canning, and sewing, but her most cherished times were those spent with her family. Judy was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church of Creedmoor, North Carolina.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 1 - 2 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church of Creedmoor, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor Greg Allison and Pastor Jimmy Hall will officiate.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Martin Little, Josh Rock, Jesse Sellars, John Sellars, Allan Williams, and Logan Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryant Inscoe and Garland Reese.
The family wishes to thank the Duke Hock Hospice Pavillon for their compassionate care during Judy’s final weeks.
Flowers are acceptable, or donations can be made to Bible Baptist Church of Creedmoor in Judy’s memory.
