Julia Anne Clements
November 9, 1953 – October 28, 2025
Julia Anne Clements, 71, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 9, 1953, at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta, Julia grew up in Decatur and attended Westminster Schools in Atlanta. She went on to earn her B.S., MBA, and MBIS degrees from Georgia State University in the mid-1980s, proudly exemplifying a lifelong love of learning.
A gifted mind and a member of Mensa, Julia built a decorated career in technology, holding key roles with IBM, Contel, Honeywell, and later the Internal Revenue Service. Her professional accomplishments were matched only by her generosity and sense of purpose.
In 2007, Julia moved to Eatonton to help care for her father. There she found new passions - becoming a Master Gardener, collecting rare and beautiful editions of the Bible, and devoting herself to the care of animals. Her home and heart were always open to four-legged friends.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. James Luther Clements Jr. and Margaret Clements, and her two brothers, Arthur Lewis Clements and Ashley Howard Clements. She is survived by her two beloved dogs, Paris, a French Bulldog, and Jonah her faithful Chihuahua companion.
As a lifelong lover of animals, Julia requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lake Oconee Humane Society in her memory.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
