Julia Augusta Eder Loesch passed away July 7, 2025, at 103 years of age.

She was born May 30, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois to John and Hermine Eder. The oldest of four children (one sister and two brothers) Julie and her siblings are first generation in America. Her parents immigrated from Germany and Austria; so, her first language was German, followed by English. Upon completing school, she attended school to become a hair stylist and worked in a salon. While working she met and later married Simon (Sim) Loesch in 1946. In 1948 there was a job opportunity in Detroit, so they both moved here and raised one son and one daughter. Her family has expanded by four granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. In 1964, seeking a larger home, they moved to Warren and were founding members of Hope Lutheran Church.

In the early 1970's Julie went to work at K-Mart in the sporting goods department, learning about fishing, hunting, DNR regulations and more. She worked there until retirement age, and both she and Sim enjoyed their time together traveling. Sim was an Army Ranger in WWII, and they became active in their Ranger association group and traveled all over the U.S. to reunions, and to Europe for the reenactment of the D-Day invasion where Sim was able to meet President Clinton and shake his hand. Julie continued to travel after Sim's passing, with her youngest brother and sister-in-law. Julie has traveled to Canada, Germany, Ireland, Alaska, Fiji, Australia, Mexico, New Zealand and Hawaii. Her travels in the states include road trips to the Northwest, and down the California coast, and back to Michigan. Simon passed in 1998, and Julie remained in the family home for an additional five years. At that time, she moved to Farmington Hills and became a member of Shepherd King Lutheran Church.

Beloved wife of the late Simon. Loving mother of Richard (Suetta) Loesch and Kathryn (Troy) Lindsey. Beloved sister-in-law of Sylvia Eder. Dearest grandmother of Jennifer (Amanda) Loesch, Rachel Livermore, Jessica (John) Harrelson, and Jordan Lindsey. Dear great-grandmother of Brexton, Avery, Ethan, Harley, Lucy, and Adelaide. She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Margaret, John, and Robert.

Visitation Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4-8 pm at Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Avenue, Farmington, Michigan 48335. Instate Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10 am until
