Julia E. (nee Moellman) Mette, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on September 14, 1927 to the late Joseph and late Catherine (nee Brocker) Moellman in
Cincinnati, Ohio. Julia was a light in the lives of many and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, reflecting her deep faith and love throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Norbert J. Mette Sr., and leaves behind a rich legacy that will live on in the hearts of her family. Julia is survived by her children, Norb (Barb) Mette, Kathleen (Bill) Fussinger, Marilyn (Bill) Thiemann and Ann (Bryan) Crase. She found immeasurable joy in the company of her grandchildren: Mark (Andrea) Mette, Tony (Beth) Mette, David (Nikki) Mette, Tom (Rachel) Mette, Steve (Hannah) Mette, Joe Fussinger, Monica (Mike) Sturwold, Therese Fussinger, Erin (Pat) Johnson, Olivia (Michael) Massa, Abbey (Zach) Warner, Eric Thiemann, Maddie (Phil) Horn, Patrick (Samantha) Crase, Jonathan Crase, the late Laura Mette and the late Michael Fussinger. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Owen, Elise, Gavin, Katelyn, Isaac, Dominic, Kayla, Adeline and Nora Mette, Charlie and Will Massa, and Luke Horn. Dear sister of the late James (late Rosemary) Moellman.
Julia cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding delight in nurturing her family and creating lasting memories. She was a woman of grace and warmth whose home was a haven filled with love and laughter. Her unwavering faith and commitment to family values will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 2553 Banning Rd. Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories, offer condolences, and celebrate the beautiful life of Julia.
On Friday, November 7, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, located at 5560 Kirby Ave. We welcome you to join us in this sacred ceremony to give praise and thanks to God and to commend Julia to God's tender mercy and compassion. Following the Mass, Julia will be laid to rest, continuing her journey in peace.
