My heart is so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I will sorely miss his kind smile, silly humor and sass during our regular sessions. Sending so much love to the Mette Family.

Our family and friends vacations with 3 generations of the Mette family every summer over 40 years in Tomahawk Wisconsin will never be forgotten! Summer vacation turned into lifetime friendships. I am so sorry for your loss. When I think of Bobby Mette, his smile and laughter is the first thing I think of. I know that your family will have so many years of great memories. Love you all

Dear Patty so sorry for your loss. I often remember the time you both visited Marty and me in Tampa for the Super Bowl. We had many laughs in a short time. Bob was also very kind allowing me to be part of his golf foursome. May the wonderful years you shared help in the days ahead. RIP Bob

Jeanne and Larry Knapp next door to Bob and Patti and her 2 boys on Oketo ave in Chicago for a few years untill he and his wife moved from the neighborhood.
They were very good neighbors and alway were pleasant to talk with.
I was retired from the Cook County sheriff's police and I believed he was still a Chicago detective. So we had law enforcement careers in common.
Patti I'm sorry for your loss
Bob was a great guy who loved and took care of his family and served law enforcement with pride and dignity.
Sadly my wife Jeanne passed away 2 years ago now but always spoke well of the Mette family. Maybe they are reunited neighbors in the great beyond.
Respectfully, Larry Knapp
